The plant is compact, forming upright inflorescences resembling a pineapple in shape. The leaves are colored a rich burgundy in spring, which changes to dark green by summer. The star-shaped flowers have a soft pink hue when opening, gradually darkening to a deep lilac or purple.
Flowering lasts from July to September. The variety is characterized by high resistance of the flower stalks to lodging. The plant is winter hardy in USDA zones 6–9; in colder climates, covering or lifting the bulbs is required. When planting, it is necessary to ensure good soil drainage, as the plant is sensitive to waterlogging.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
