The plant has a broad shape and a medium to high number of lateral shoots. Stems are thick, covered with long spines arranged in groups. Flower stalks are positioned horizontally or semi-erect and are red in color.
Leaves are of medium length, narrow to medium in width, the upper side is dark green, the lower side is light green. The inflorescence consists of five levels of cyathia. Large pink-red bracts are arranged with overlapping.
The variety is characterized by abundant flowering under short-day conditions and low light levels.
