The variety Lilo (Eckespoint Lilo) is a hybrid of Euphorbia pulcherrima and Euphorbia cornastra. The plant is intended for use as a pot crop. Hybridization with E. cornastra was aimed at improving traits such as branching and habit.

In scientific literature, the variety is often cited as a model organism for studying Poinsettia mosaic virus (PnMV). In modern catalogs, the variety is practically absent, occupying a niche as a historical specimen that served as a basis for breeding later series, such as Freedom.
