Variety description

10 August 2026

The Barvado variety was bred by selecting plants that exhibited natural resistance to Rhizoctonia. The plant belongs to a semi-dwarf growth type, which contributes to slowed biomass development and reduces the frequency of necessary mowing.

This variety is characterized by dark green leaf color of medium texture and contains endophytes that increase overall viability. The plant demonstrates high drought tolerance and the ability for rapid recovery after the winter period.

Barvado is intended for use on sports facilities, ornamental lawns, and in the production of sod in rolls. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to fungal diseases, in particular, to Rhizoctonia.
