The variety is a second-generation synthetic created from ten parental lines to improve initial growth vigor and seasonal productivity. The plant belongs to the late-flowering, soft-leaved, continental type varieties.
The crop is adapted for grazing sheep and dairy cattle and tolerates difficult soil conditions well, including arid, wet, saline, and peat soils. The variety possesses resistance to larvae of Costelytra zealandica and weevils Listronotus bonariensis, and also demonstrates increased palatability to animals due to low leaf tensile strength.
