Variety description

10 August 2026

The Greenbrooks variety is classified as a turf-type tall fescue. It is intended for establishing covers requiring increased wear tolerance, such as sports turfs and public park areas.

The plant is distinguished by good shoot density and turf quality. The leaves are characterized by relative fineness, and the turf itself retains its green color during winter and summer periods. Due to its developed root system, the variety possesses high drought tolerance.

The variety has also been studied in the context of phytoremediation of oil-contaminated soils, where it demonstrated an ability to remove hydrocarbons from the soil.
