The variety was obtained as a result of a breeding program for the improvement of forage grasses, based on the selection of plants with an improved ability to retain seeds. Local ecotypes and methods of influencing genetic material were used during the breeding process.
The plant possesses good growth intensity at the beginning of the growing season and high stand density. The variety demonstrates medium to high dry matter yield and is characterized by low to medium susceptibility to rust and other diseases.
The variety is valued for good indicators of digestibility and protein content in the forage mass. Due to its hardiness, it is often considered as an alternative to perennial ryegrass and is used in grass mixtures for agricultural purposes.
