The plant belongs to the Acanthaceae family and is characterized by a compact, low-growing habit with a height of 5 to 20 cm. The leaves are elliptical or oval in shape with entire margins and reach a size of 4–5 cm; the plant stems are glabrous.
A distinctive feature of the variety is the contrasting pink veins on a dark green leaf background. The plant is moisture-loving, prefers diffused lighting and temperatures from 15°C to 25°C, and is sensitive to soil drying.
