The plant is low-growing, reaching a height of 6–10 cm, and can spread up to 45 cm in width, forming dense mats. The edges of the leaf blades are slightly wrinkled or wavy. The white veins occupy a significant part of the leaf surface, giving it a contrasting light shade.

The variety is demanding regarding growing conditions, preferring high air humidity of 60 to 80 percent and stable soil moisture. The plant does not tolerate direct sunlight or drafts. In case of moisture deficiency, it quickly loses turgor, but recovers promptly upon watering.

Fittonia of this variety can be affected by pests such as aphids, mealybugs, and fungus gnats. The variety served as a basis for breeding a number of other Fittonia varieties through natural mutations.
