The plant has a creeping growth habit, reaching a height of 5–15 cm and spreading in width up to 12–18 cm. The leaves possess a decorative pattern of thin silvery or white veins on a dark green background.

Under indoor conditions, it flowers rarely, forming small white or pinkish flowers that do not represent decorative value. The plant is moisture-loving, sensitive to drafts and direct sunlight, and temporarily loses turgor if the soil dries out.
