The plant forms dense rounded heads consisting of thickened leaf bases. During the vegetation period, the total plant height reaches 80–120 cm; the mass of the head under favorable conditions can reach up to 1 kg.

The flesh of the variety is white, crispy and dense, having a mild sweetish taste with a hint of anise. The variety possesses high resistance to premature flower stalk formation.

The plant is used as a vegetable crop in fresh, stewed or baked form. When grown without harvesting for the head, the crop is used as a culinary herb, consuming the leaves and seeds.
