The variety belongs to the vegetable fennel type. Morphologically, the plant is distinguished by the dark color of the leaf sheaths forming the thickened part used for food.

In scientific research, the variety was used in experiments to study the effect of water salinity on yield and quality indicators. During the experiments, the plants were transplanted at the four true leaf stage in September, followed by harvesting in February.
