The variety belongs to the group of Fragaria × vescana hybrids, obtained by crossing garden strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) and wild strawberry (Fragaria vesca). Genetic compatibility of the species was achieved through the production of tetraploid forms of wild strawberry, which allowed for the breeding of fertile decaploid plants.
Plants of this variety are characterized by high growth vigor. The fruits are characterized by a taste and aroma close to that of wild strawberry; however, in size, they are significantly smaller than those of modern garden strawberry varieties. The variety has not received wide commercial distribution and is considered primarily as breeding material.
