The Karel variety is an object of breeding research at the Research Institute of Horticulture in Skierniewice. In scientific trials, the genotype showed full resistance to powdery mildew, however, it was classified as highly susceptible to white and red leaf spot.
There is no information on maturity group, fruit characteristics, parental forms, or breeders in the publications. The variety is primarily used for assessing genetic diversity and studying resistance to pathogens.
