The variety is an offspring of a cross between Dorit and Parker. It belongs to the category of short-day sensitive varieties, where flowering is induced by natural shortening of the day rather than a chilling period. When planted in late summer, flowering begins in October, and fruit ripening occurs in early November.
The plant is adapted for commercial cultivation in protected ground, particularly under polyethylene tunnels. The fruits of the variety are not prone to deformation. The variety is susceptible to strawberry anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum acutatum and was actively studied within the framework of in vitro micropropagation research.
