The fruits of the variety have a firm consistency and dark coloration, and the shape of the berries is conical. The plant is distinguished by a high degree of flowering. The yield of the variety directly depends on the diameter of the seedling crown: optimal indicators are achieved when using planting material with a crown diameter of 5 to 10 mm or more.
The variety is susceptible to gray mold, Verticillium wilt, nematodes, foliar diseases, and various forms of root rot. In agronomic studies, Tiobelle is often used as a subject for testing the pathogenicity of black root rot causative agents due to its vulnerability to these soil-borne pathogens.
Intended for commercial cultivation and berry export. Traditionally associated with the Western Cape region in South Africa.
