The Granretip variety, also known as Sunburst™ Red With Yellow Tip, is a perennial plant that is most often classified as Gaillardia × grandiflora. The crop is distinguished by its compactness and is considered one of the shortest forms in the series, reaching a height of up to 20 cm.
The flowers have a deep red color with yellow petal tips. Flowering continues from early summer to early autumn. The plant prefers sunny areas and well-drained soils, is sensitive to stagnant moisture in the winter period, and possesses winter hardiness in the range of -20 °C to -29 °C. The life cycle of the variety is 2–3 years.
