The plant has a slightly upright and spreading growth type with intensive branching. Leaves are olive-green, opposite, lanceolate, with shallow incisions along the margins.

Inflorescences are spikes, flowers are directed upwards. Petals have a bright red coloration, peduncles are short or of medium length. The variety is used in landscaping and is propagated by cuttings or micropropagation.

In official UPOV materials, this variety is often used as a reference variety when conducting tests for distinctness, uniformity, and stability.
