The plant has a wide, spreading growth habit. The bush height reaches 10–20 cm with a width of 40 to 60 cm. The blue or purple-blue flowers are gathered in flat corymbose inflorescences.

The variety belongs to the category of thermophilic plants with early flowering, which continues from spring to autumn. In cold climates, it is grown as an annual, as it has low winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zone 9.

It is used for planting in hanging baskets and containers, and is also used as a groundcover plant.
