The variety belongs to maturity group II and is characterized by susceptibility to Phytophthora root rot, due to which it is often used in experiments as a susceptible standard. Under field conditions, the variety is considered high-yielding, however, under certain growing conditions, it shows a tendency to lodging.

The seeds of the variety contain a high level of protein and oil, which makes it a valuable raw material for processing. At present, the variety is considered historical breeding material and is not relevant for modern commercial cultivation.
