The variety belongs to the food-grade type and is intended for tofu production. It is characterized by a 2500 CHU rating, which determines its suitability for cultivation in regions with a temperate climate, such as Ontario and Quebec.

The plant is distinguished by seedling vigor and strong stems, which allows for the use of 15-inch row spacing when cultivated on different soil types, from sandy to clay loams. The variety is sensitive to the herbicide metribuzin.

This variety is used, among other things, in organic farming, where its biological characteristics have undergone field trials.
