The soybean variety «Baron» is adapted for cultivation in northern conditions. Cold-tolerant Swedish germplasm samples were used in the breeding process.

When cultivating this variety, the use of metribuzin-based herbicides is not recommended due to the risk of a negative plant reaction. During agrotechnical trials, the variety was evaluated for resistance to Phytophthora root rot.
