The plant possesses high resistance to lodging and tolerance to Diaporthe. The variety is adapted to high sowing density, suitable for use as a first or second crop, as well as for direct seeding into sod.

Cresir is used in scientific biochemical research for the analysis of isoflavones, the composition of mitochondrial lipids, and the study of alternative oxidase properties.
