The soybean variety «ISZ 13» was developed at the Institute of Forage Research in Iregszemcse, Hungary. In the 1980s, the variety appeared in lists of varieties approved for use in a number of countries in the region.

In published scientific studies of that period, the variety is mentioned in the context of research into Phytophthora root rot, Phytophthora megasperma var. sojae. According to the materials, the variety exhibited susceptibility to this disease.

Precise agronomic characteristics, including yield indicators, plant height, and protein or oil content, are not described in available publications.
