The variety belongs to the SOYLEIC line and contains approximately 83.3% oleic acid, 2.4% linolenic acid, and 10.5% saturated fats. Such a fatty acid profile allows the produce to be used in the food industry to improve the quality of final products and extend the shelf life of oil during frying.

The plant has a black hilum and belongs to maturity group 2.6. The sample is undergoing field trials as part of the Uniform Soybean Tests programs to evaluate productivity and adaptability. The LD designation indicates its origin from the soybean breeding programs of the Illinois Soybean Laboratory.
