The Poltava soybean variety is a mid-season crop with a plant height of 100–110 cm and a lower pod attachment height of 12–15 cm. The growing season ranges from 115 to 125 days, with a yield potential reaching 4.1 t/ha. The variety is intended for grain use.

The grain is characterized by a protein content of 41–42% and an oil content of 21–23%. The thousand kernel weight is 150–180 g, and grain uniformity reaches 99%. The variety possesses high resistance to lodging, shattering, infestation by the legume pod borer, as well as to downy mildew, ascochyta blight, and septoria leaf spot.

The plant is recommended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe zones, being distinguished by its ability to adapt to various soil and climatic conditions.
