The Protibus variety belongs to the food-grade category. Its primary purpose is for use in the food industry, particularly for processing into tofu, due to the high protein content in the grain, which approaches 50%.

In experimental studies under Central European conditions, the variety showed a yield of approximately 1300 kg/ha, which is lower than the indicators of a number of forage varieties. Information on morphological characteristics and detailed indicators of disease resistance for this variety is practically absent in open sources.
