The Richi variety belongs to the group of mid-early soybean varieties. Its development is associated with the work of the Soybean Experimental Station in the city of Pavlikeni, Bulgaria.

In agronomic practice, the variety is used for production purposes, with its variety maintenance and seed production being carried out. In scientific literature, the variety is used as an object for studying responses to sowing dates, plant density, as well as for the analysis of plastid pigment content and nitrogen fixation processes.
