The variety Rita belongs to the group of European soybean landraces and is associated with gene bank collections in Prague. In scientific literature, it most often appears as a control sample in comparative studies.

Results of testing for resistance to bacterial blight of soybean, caused by Pseudomonas syringae pv. glycinea, showed that the variety is highly susceptible to this disease, demonstrating from 98% to 100% infected plants.
