The Swift variety was used in scientific research as a reference specimen for comparing characteristics in field experiments. It was used to analyze the competitiveness of plants in relation to weeds, as well as to evaluate the oil and protein content in seeds.

The plant has resistance to soybean mosaic virus, demonstrating one of the lowest levels of infection in comparative trials. The variety was included in the Minnesota state breeding programs and belongs to maturity groups ranging from 00 to II.

This variety was used as a benchmark when evaluating morphological traits, in particular leaf color. At present, detailed production characteristics of the variety are absent in open databases, as it belongs to early breeding developments.
