The variety belongs to the Acala type and has a genetic connection with New Mexico Acala lines. Morphologically, the variety is characterized by sparse pubescence, presence of nectaries, cream-colored flowers, and a large boll size.

The variety possesses high resistance to Verticillium wilt caused by Verticillium dahliae, which determined its use in experimental crop rotations for the control of this pathogen. In fiber analyses, the variety was distinguished by increased strength indicators.
