The hybrids were created by crossing Gossypium hirsutum and Gossypium barbadense species to obtain fiber with a length of 34–36 mm, a strength of 34–37 g/tex, and a Micronaire fineness index of 3.4–4.2. In terms of maturity group, they are classified as mid-season.

The plants possess high growth vigor, which provides them with resistance to adverse environmental factors, including saline soils and drought. Resistance to Verticillium wilt has also been noted. A number of scientific works mention the breeding material Acalpi-1952.
