The variety is the first Greek cotton cultivar developed by a private company and has become widespread in the market of the northern part of the country. It is intended for industrial cultivation to obtain textile fiber.

In scientific research, the variety often serves as base material for breeding and the evaluation of physiological traits, as well as fiber quality indicators such as length, strength, and micronaire. The use of single-plant selection methods allowed for the identification of lines with increased seed cotton yield.
