The Gaia variety is used in agrotechnical research and is undergoing trials in regions of Turkey. In scientific literature, it is mentioned in the context of evaluating economic and biological traits within breeding programs.

During studies of the variety, fiber turnout rates exceeding 40% were recorded. The variety was also tested for its ability to withstand increased temperature loads and moisture deficits during different phases of plant development.
