The variety is characterized as a plant with great height and an increased distance to the first fruiting branch. Fiber strength was classified as premium, although it could be inferior in length and strength to some contemporary counterparts at that time.

The plant was intended for commercial cultivation in regions affected by pathogens, in particular in the southeastern United States. Transgenic modifications were created based on this variety; however, H1560 is currently considered obsolete and is practically not used in industrial production.
