Dora breeding forms include the Dora 11 variant with elongated bracts and high earliness, Dora 21 with glandless seeds and resistance to square shedding, Dora 31 with okra-type leaf, and Dora 41 with brown fiber color.
These genotypes were developed within the framework of Thai breeding programs to improve economically valuable traits, such as productivity and fiber quality. The Dora 11 variety was also used in crosses to create blended fibers, for example, in combination with Eri silk.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
