The Perla-267 variety was developed at the Field Crops Institute in Chirpan. Its pedigree utilizes genetic material of Egyptian cotton, which allowed for improved fiber quality indicators and the use of the variety as an initial component in the breeding of other varieties.
The plant belongs to the mid-season variety group and is characterized by high seed cotton yield. At the same time, the variety is considered one of the earliest in terms of the first harvest, and the fiber turnout is about 33.8 percent.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
