The Rumi variety was created based on the Bulgarian breeding line No. 268. During state trials, the variety demonstrated higher productivity compared to the standard variety Chirpan-539.

The fiber of this variety is distinguished by greater length and fineness compared to the standard Chirpan-539. The variety is intended for commercial cultivation for the purpose of producing high-quality textile raw materials.
