The variety is the result of breeding work aimed at creating decorative Guzmania hybrids and was obtained by crossing specific inbred lines, including Guzmania lingulata and Guzmania wittmackii. The plant is a potted crop with the rosette of leaves characteristic of the species.
The traits of the variety include phenotypic uniformity and expressive bracts that are capable of maintaining their color for a long period of time. The crop is adapted for cultivation as an indoor plant.
