The plant is a groundcover, forming a dense carpet due to easily rooting shoots. The leaves are dark green, 7–9 cm wide and 5.5–6 cm long. The matte petioles have a wine-red shade and reach 7–11 cm in length.

The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness (zones 1–4) and rapid rooting. The plant prefers partial shade or shade. Planting in heavy clay or waterlogged soils is not recommended. The optimal planting density is 5 plants per 1 m².
