Sunflower Fermer F1 is a simple interline hybrid. The genetic basis of the variety was formed by crossing the maternal sterile line ED 869A, carrying the cytoplasm of Helianthus petiolaris Lec., and the paternal pollen fertility restorer line.
The hybrid belongs to the mid-season group. The crop is intended for oilseed production and was bred with consideration for adaptation to the climatic conditions of northern regions.
