The NS-H-27 type hybrid was created at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad. The plant is a fertile commercial hybrid, created using a cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS89) line.
During scientific research, this hybrid was characterized by high oil content in the seeds. It was frequently used in variety trials to evaluate yield, oil content, and adaptability under various conditions, and also served as a control specimen.
