Research revealed the plant's sensitivity to leaf removal, which affected the final stem height and head size. At the same time, the hybrid demonstrated better seed set in the center of the head compared to some counterparts of that time.
The leaf area index for this hybrid varies depending on the leaf position on the stem and planting density. In 1970s documentation, the variety was noted as being tolerant to Sclerotinia infection (head rot).
