The PRS 5 object is not an independent commercial variety, but acts as a germplasm line used in breeding programs. It is used as a donor or parental component in complex hybrid combinations, including in conjunction with lines of the RHA 274 type.
This line appears in scientific research aimed at studying the genetics and resistance of the crop. In particular, PRS 5 samples have undergone multi-year field trials for resistance to pathogens such as white mold (Sclerotinia) and downy mildew.
