The RHA-SES line was developed at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, Serbia. It is not intended for commercial sowing and is used exclusively as a component for producing high-yielding hybrids.

This line is a source of resistance to Phomopsis (Phomopsis helianthi). It is also used in genetic research aimed at creating hybrids resistant to imidazolinone herbicides and tribenuron-methyl, as well as in interspecific hybridization work.
