TRISUN is a series of oilseed sunflower hybrids intended for the production of high-oleic vegetable oil. These hybrids were aimed at industrial use as stable raw materials for food production, including the manufacture of confectionery and baby food.
The main distinctive characteristic is the high oleic acid content. Literature records levels of 80% for the Trisun 80 hybrid and 90% for Trisun 90. Specific morphological plant traits, such as height, resistance to diseases, or lodging, are not described in open publications.
