The plant forms compact, dense cushions approximately 35 cm in height and 20 to 41 cm in width. Leaves are silvery-gray, soft, pubescent, and arranged alternately. During the spring and summer periods, inflorescences with bright buds are formed, possessing "papery" flowers characteristic of everlastings.
The variety is thermophilic and drought-tolerant, suitable for cultivation in USDA climatic zones 8–10 at temperatures down to -12°C. The plant is sensitive to excessive waterlogging during hot periods. It is used in ornamental gardening for borders, rock gardens, container cultivation, and as dried flowers.
