The Hibiscus moscheutos variety Fireball is a perennial herbaceous plant with high frost hardiness (hardiness zone 4, withstands temperatures down to -34°C). During the winter period, the aerial part of the plant dies back completely.

The shrub reaches a height of 100–120 cm. The leaves of the plant are 3–5 lobed, resembling maple leaves in shape. The flowers are fiery red in color and reach up to 30 cm in diameter.
