The variety belongs to the group of large-flowered Hippeastrum. The flower is colored red with a white center and a bright green or lime throat; the petals may have wavy edges. Several large flowers are formed on a peduncle reaching a height of 45–60 cm.

The plant is used as a pot plant and for forcing. The flowering period usually occurs 4–6 weeks after planting the bulb, and the flowers are characterized by longevity.
