Morphologically, the variety is close to the species Hippeastrum striatum or Hippeastrum petiolatum. During flowering, variations in color are noted, from bright tones to flowers with a white background and warm shades. A characteristic feature is the absence of a pronounced yellow-green throat, which is inherent in many modern hybrids.

The variety was not widely represented on the market, however, it was preserved in private collections as an important genetic resource. Its material was used in the creation of varieties such as Showmaster, Exception and Barbados.
